Overview

We want to inform you about an important change Microsoft is making to the remote access tools used to connect to our virtual desktop environment.  Microsoft has announced that the current Remote Desktop client for Windows reached end of support on March 27, 2026.  This is not end of life.  As this date has passed, the client is no longer receiving updates by Microsoft. The Remote Desktop client app is still up and running and there is nothing you as a client need to do at this time.

Here is what we are doing

What we’re doing:
We are actively working with Microsoft on a full migration and upgrade plan to move to the new platform. This work includes evaluating compatibility, preparing our environment, and ensuring that the transition will be as smooth as possible for all users.

What this means for you:

  • No action is required from you right now. Your ability to connect will remain a priority,
  • We are working on the migration path over the next months so that when we're ready to migrate you over to the new software, we will contact you and will provide clear instructions when changes are required.

There is no ETA as of yet on when your migration will start and be completed, however, the work and migrations are expected to be completed over the next few months.

We appreciate your patience as we work through this important upgrade. Our goal is to ensure a reliable, secure, and improved remote access experience, and we will continue to share updates as the project progresses.
