Overview

Our Windward Software support team may request the version of the Microsoft Windows operating system you are running.  This can be useful when troubleshooting an issue.  Use these steps to share this information.


Windows 11

  1. Click the Windows icon (Start button) in the bottom left corner.
  2. Type "About your PC" and choose this in the menu.
  3. Scroll down to the "Windows specifications".
  4. Click the "Copy" button and paste the details into your support ticket.


Windows 10

⚠️ Windows 10 reaches end of life on October 14, 2025.  Upgrade to ensure you are using a supported operating system.
  1. Click the Windows icon (Start button) in the bottom left corner.
  2. Click the Settings (gear) icon.
  3. Select "System".
  4. Scroll down and click on "About".
  5. You will find the device specifications and Windows specifications listed there.
  6. Click the "Copy" button and paste the details into your support ticket.
