Overview
When opening an invoice the error message "No response from PINPad: dsiEMVClinentX not installed" may indicate you need to configure the PINPad client device or disable it if not required.
Solution 1: Disable Debit/PINPads if not required
- Navigate to the Setup Wizard with a user that can make setting changes.
- Choose "Payment Processing"
- Select your processor such as "Global Payments Canada"
- Choose "Debit/Pin Pads" and select None. This configuration is based on the terminal or machine number that you signed into with.
Solution 2: Install the dsiEMVClient software
This means this Datacap software is not installed on the local workstation. Download the correct installer based on the country you are processing credit cards in from https://datacapsystems.com/download
For Canadian installations choose DSIEMVClientX
For the United States of America, installations choose dsiEMVUS.
If you require to use signature capture on a PINpad device, you will need the dsiPDCX installer.
