Paylocity Enhancement Overview


The Payroll Import menu allows you to import payroll expenses files from five commonly used payroll 

programs in order to create paychecks.


• The new Paylocity CSV Import was added under Payroll Import in the General Ledger. This allows customers using Paylocity Payroll to import their payroll information into System Five to create paychecks.

• Paylocity CSV has a CSV Payroll Import configuration window that contains three tabs – Settings, where the user can attach the CSV file from Paylocity and configure options, Journal Entry and Paylocity CSV tabs where the information and Ledgers will be displayed in tables for the CSV file to be imported and the journal entries System Five will generate from the import.

• If "Import as Separate Journals" is enabled, it will create multiple journal entries for each employee.

Customer


This enhancement work benefits Windward customers with Paylocity software as their third-party Payroll 

service. The new CSV Payroll Import function for Paylocity payroll customers will allow them to import

Employee information and journal entries from Paylocity to be synced and worked on in System Five.


Business Case


Problem:

Our new client, XYZ Company has an external payroll program, and they wish to import their payroll.


Solution (Workflow):

 

The new Paylocity CSV Import was added under Payroll Import in the General Ledger. This allows 

customers using Paylocity Payroll to import their payroll information into System Five to create pay 

checks.


Paylocity CSV has a CSV Payroll Import configuration window that contains three tabs – Settings, where 

the user can attach the CSV file from Paylocity and configure options, Journal Entry and Paylocity CSV tabs 

where the information and Ledgers will be displayed in tables for the CSV file to be imported and the 

journal entries System Five will generate from the import.


Attaching the CSV file, enter the Payroll Clearing Account Number, Date, and Book Month. The user has 

the option to enter Employee Name – Secret Code File and check to Post Journal Entries or Import as 

Separate Journals.


Paylocity CSV import supports Long Ledgers. If "Import as Separate Journals" is enabled, it will create multiple JE, one for each employee.


Enhancement User Interface


Navigate to General Ledger > Payroll Import > Paylocity CSV.


A new Paylocity CSV function was added under General Ledger > Payroll Import.

Implementing the Enhancement


1. This enhancement requires System Five version 7.0.0.1158 or later.

2. Contact Support to set up System Five upgrade or for more details on System Five V7 easy updates.
